Jednym z nich jest kratownica zdefiniowana w AISI S240. Te elementy kratownicy s\u0105 \u0142\u0105czone za pomoc\u0105 \u015brodnik\u00f3w sekcji. Drugim jest po\u0142\u0105czenie za pomoc\u0105 ich ko\u0142nierzy. Pierwszy typ kratownicy jest zdefiniowany i prowadzony w AISI. Jednak drugi typ kratownicy (na rysunku 1) nie jest bezpo\u015brednio zdefiniowany w \u017cadnej normie. Norma AISI S240 nie okre\u015bla stosowania wielow\u0119z\u0142owego lub jednow\u0119z\u0142owego modelu analizy strukturalnej w celu uwzgl\u0119dnienia efekt\u00f3w mimo\u015brodu w po\u0142\u0105czeniach. Sztywno\u015b\u0107 kratownicy b\u0119dzie si\u0119 r\u00f3\u017cni\u0107 w zale\u017cno\u015bci od tego, czy wykonano analiz\u0119 wielow\u0119z\u0142ow\u0105, czy jednow\u0119z\u0142ow\u0105. Kratownica jednow\u0119z\u0142owa i kratownica dwuw\u0119z\u0142owa<\/p><p>Na podstawie niedawnego badania kratownic typu ko\u0142nierzowego przeprowadzonego przez E. Barana i C. Dizdara wykazano, \u017ce mimo\u015br\u00f3d ten zmniejsza sztywno\u015b\u0107 kratownicy. Jednak\u017ce, je\u015bli w po\u0142\u0105czeniach u\u017cyto czterech lub wi\u0119cej \u015brub, nie zaobserwowano \u017cadnej znacz\u0105cej r\u00f3\u017cnicy pod wzgl\u0119dem sztywno\u015bci przy obci\u0105\u017ceniach niskiego poziomu. Na przyk\u0142ad, model konstrukcyjny mo\u017ce by\u0107 zbudowany z jednym w\u0119z\u0142em, ale mo\u017ce by\u0107 stosowany na belkach stropowych o rozpi\u0119to\u015bci do 5 lub 6 metr\u00f3w w budynkach mieszkalnych. Elementy ci\u0119ciwy s\u0105 poddawane ci\u0119ciwie wargowej w po\u0142\u0105czeniach, co usuwa cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 wargow\u0105 przekroju, a przek\u0105tne mog\u0105 pasowa\u0107 do pas\u00f3w. Ta operacja, naturalnie, powoduje zmniejszenie wytrzyma\u0142o\u015bci element\u00f3w ci\u0119ciwy. Jednak ta operacja jest stosowana lokalnie i tworzy bardziej skomplikowany mechanizm w po\u0142\u0105czeniach. Sprawdzenie wytrzyma\u0142o\u015bci mo\u017cna wykona\u0107 za pomoc\u0105 wzoru AISI S100 H1-2-1 z elementem ci\u0119ciwy z wargami, u\u017cywaj\u0105c co najmniej 4 \u015brub.
